Spotlight -The Fairies of Olive
32-page storybook, written by Hattie ❤️
Hattie's grandma loved listening to Hattie tell stories of fairies at work as they rode around their country property on weekends.
With her grandma's encouragement, Hattie wrote a 300-word story, The Fairies of Olive, that we put into a keepsake storybook with Hattie’s name on the cover.
In addition to donating a copy to her school library, Hattie's book (that she signs herself) is selling quickly through word of mouth and social media. She and her book have also been featured on the cover of her local newspaper - and her neighborhood market requested copies to sell (with all proceeds going to Hattie!)
Great job, Hattie! We're excited to hear that Hattie is now writing more stories and look forward to her next storybook!
Spotlight -Storybooks for My Grandchildren
Patty started the storybook course with one idea in mind - a story for her grandson who loved firemen and dinosaurs. A self-professed "non-techy" grandma, Patty dove in and started having fun bringing her story to life, page by page. Soon more story ideas popped in.
She shared, "I can’t wait to have [this book] finished so I can start on my next story. Thank you so much for getting me going on this. I’m really having a blast! It's so exciting and has been so much fun!"
Patty's created eight storybooks so far! Her grandkids keep asking Patty (and their mom) to read the books over and over again!
"I think they love the idea of books being about them and their interests. So I'll keep providing the books if they keep giving me inspiration (which is about every day!)....Interestingly enough, I'm now getting requests to make books for others!"
